    Job Description :

    This function will provide leadership development across the organization including but not limited to; building development strategies, programs, assessment and feedback process. This function will be responsible for the coaching process, mentoring programs, leadership interventions, Management Development Program and the Devon University Leadership curriculum.

    The person in this function will work collaboratively with specialist functions such as Organizational Development, Talent Management, and HR Managers providing sound recommendations and solutions for developing leaders; defining and driving organization development strategy; aligning programs with the company vision, mission and value proposition, business strategy and objectives to further the development of a world class business organization.

    This function will lead programs and initiatives in a changing environment, including leadership and manager development, leading to the sustainable development of leadership capabilities to support future business objectives by providing coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession needs

    • Design and gain support to build and deliver leadership courses and programs.
    • Customize leadership solutions and facilitate leadership and management programs as needed.
    § Design, deliver and implement leadership development solutions, organization wide-change initiatives and corporate-wide systems to support improved effectiveness of people and the organization. Must demonstrate knowledge in all disciplines of Organizational Development.
    § Possess the ability to understand Devon's business priorities and culture and present a compelling business case for recommended Organizational Development initiatives that are essential for success.
    § Demonstrate capability of visionary leadership to create buy-in through change management leadership, organizational sensitivity, performance management and strong customer orientation. Must be an excellent fit within Devon's culture, values and Leadership Attributes and demonstrate such.
    § Serve as a lead on diversity/inclusion initiatives within the business, have a strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into development plans.
    § Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization, both verbal and in writing and have the ability to influence senior management on issues of talent and organizational development.
    § Demonstrate superior communication skills, best practice perspective, strong analytical and conceptual thinking, technical depth, effective team leadership skills and the emotional intelligence to know how to drive for results and deal effectively with resistance.

    Details Specific to this Job :

    § Masters Degree required
    § Fifteen years experience in Leadership and Organizational Development
    § Knowledgeable of Six Sigma/Lean practices
    § High level of integrity and ability to act confidentially as appropriate
    § Strong analytical/conceptual capability
    § Understanding of emotional intelligence as it applies to leadership development
    § Ability to act as a business-minded change agent with the organization
    § Must be viewed as a thought leader able to gain credibility within the organization
    § Experience in executive coaching and development planning
