Turbocharged Change! (14 Aug 2012)

Change is Scary!

Change can be difficult for individuals and organizations. Since change creates anxiety, we are wired to resist it.

In this session, Tim Hast will lead you through the change process, help you discover the hidden road blocks to change, help you understand and then challenge the "big assumptions" that can block change, and help you introduce change in your organization in ways that minimize anxiety and resistance.

This session is based on the work of Robert Keegan, Ph.D., educational chair of the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education, in the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

About the Presenter

Tim, the son of missionaries and raised in Puerto Rico, understands the differences in people and how a lack of understanding impacts the quality of relationships. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education from The University of Oklahoma and a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from The University Of Central Oklahoma.

Tim became a licensed professional counselor and specialized in working with couples in conflict. He discovered that powerful listening; communication, and conflict management skills are vital to all healthy relationships. He also learned that what works for couples, also works for most relationships whether it’s at home or in the workplace.
